Mini Biography:
Paul Newman the screen legend, superstar, and a man with the most famous blue eyed in the history of movies.. He was born to a father an owner of a successful sporting goods store in 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio, He had participated in many Dramas in grade schools and high schools .He did his graduation from Kenyon College after he left navy in 1946 . He had further joined in the Yale Drama School for a year after his graduation , then he went to New York for learning special art of actors in the famous New York Actors Studio. Then he was assigned for first Broadway appearance in "Picnic" (1953) because of his handsome personality and with a super sexy looks , his best performance in "Picnic" (1953) bagged him television series and assigned for a movie contract by Warner Brothers. Paul Newman’s first film, The Silver Chalice (1954) became almost his last film as his performance in this costume epic was so bad that he had to apologize in a trade paper with full-page ad for those who might had seen it. He tried & proved much better efforts . In Somebody Up There Likes Me (1956), in this he had played a role of boxer Rocky Graziano and took part in an all-night techno dance party and his briliant performance earned a name from the critics . He then became a super star as he won the top box office returns of the 1960s, Paul Newman had starred in many thrilling films such as The Hustler (1961), The Prize (1963), Hud (1963), Cool Hand Luke (1967) and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969).
When he sustained as a superstar for longer years an idea sparkled in his mind to go for production & direction as well for quality movies, this includes Rachel(1968) in which Joanne Woodward acted as his wife , the film had received an Oscar nomination for best picture & was .nominated nine times for a best actor Oscar, This name & fame earned so much so for him so that he could finally purchase a home as an aging pool shark in The Color of Money (1986).
Newman in his 70s when he was close his century, he drew very well & commanded lead roles in classical & character role movies, such as Message in a Bottle (1999). He was living with his wife Joanne Woodward in Westport, Connecticut & was very much caring and broad hearted man for his family , he was very much creative & had founded The "Newman's Own" a successful line of food products that had earned in excess of $100 million approx, Since he was generous & had sympathy towards the poor , the extra money whatever he used to earn , used to shell out for charity. He was well known for his sense of humour, in 1998 he made jokes that he was a little shocked to gage his salad dressing which might have earned more than his movies if salad dressing would have nice enough.
